Father’s Day is less than a week away! Time to get creative and think of all the special ways to celebrate dad this Sunday. One way my daughters and I wanted to treat their dad this Father’s Day was with a delicious pancake bar! This was a fun way to get all three of my girls involved in preparing a fun breakfast for their dad. Another way my girls like to celebrate their dad each Father’s Day is by finding just the right card to compliment their gifts.

Our first stop for Father’s Day essentials was Walmart to choose the perfect card and gift accessories. I can always count on Walmart to have a huge selection of amazing American Greetings Father’s Day cards and gift accessories. Whatever your preference may be, funny or sentimental, they have it in their quality card assortment. My girls enjoyed picking out a sweet card for their dad along with a cute Super Dad gift bag with matching tissue paper. What made this card purchase even better was the cash I earned through Ibotta! From 6/21 through 8/31 purchase any American Greetings® Card at Walmart and earn $1 on Ibotta. Head over here to earn your Ibotta credit!

We like to celebrate occasions both big and small in our family with cards. With the end of the school year here, I chose two American Greetings cards for my daughters as they successfully completed their school year. It’s always a memorable moment to see their eyes light up while they open their cards and end of school year presents. You can celebrate occasions all summer with American Greetings cards — find inspiration here!

With a pancake bar on the itinerary for Father’s Day, we created a list of all our must-have items including dad’s favorite toppings and decorations to make the breakfast perfect. We crafted a #1 dad banner with thick cardstock paper, yarn, and colorful lettering. We also used blue American Greetings tissue paper to make large decorative flowers to add to either sides of our banner. The card and gifts from my daughters took center stage on our table.

To create your Father’s Day pancake bar you will need:

  • pancakes (this is obvious but make sure you have plenty for various creations with all of the toppings)
  • toppings (include all of dad’s favorites – we used strawberries, blueberries, bananas, walnuts, coconut shreds, chocolate chips, hazelnut butter, and maple syrup)
  • dad’s favorite color of party plates and napkins
  • decorations including banner or tissue paper bouquets

Place your pancakes at the forefront of the table and all of your colorful toppings in fun bowls. Let dad be first in line (this can be hard with anxious little ones!) to fill his plate with delicious warm pancakes and sweet toppings! Enjoy and have a happy Father’s Day with your loved ones!
