Naked Nutrition Protein Bars Review + My Favorite Mint Chocolate Smoothie

There is a huge variety of protein bars and powder on the market and it can be overwhelming to select just the right one. It’s important to remember that not every bar and powder is created equal. The process of finding the right brand is much easier when you seek out simple, natural ingredients with a pure and high quality protein base. I recently discovered Naked Nutrition which hits on all of these qualities and is an excellent choice for grass fed whey protein powder/bars. The brand name Naked means no fillers or artificial additives, just premium ingredients.

Naked Nutrition’s protein is sourced from grass fed cows milk from small family owned dairy farms in California. The 100% grass fed cow’s milk is growth hormone free (no rBGH or rBST) and non-GMO and the manufacturing process is kept simple. The result is pure non denatured whey loaded with essential amino acids, glutathione, and clean protein.

These protein bars are the perfect pairing to your favorite smoothie. I love to chop up the Mint Chocolate Bar and add it on top of my go-to chocolate smoothie. This is a super easy and satisfying high protein snack!

5 Ingredient Mint Chocolate Smoothie

(makes 1 extra large smoothie)


2 Frozen Bananas (chopped in small pieces)
2 Tbsp Almond Butter
2 Tbsp Cocoa Powder
1 Cup Almond Milk
1/8 Tsp Mint Extract
Naked Nutrition Mint Chocolate Bar (chopped in small pieces)


Fill bottom of a smoothie cup with 1/2 of the chopped Naked Nutrition Bar. Place all ingredients in a high powered blender and blend until smooth and creamy. This shake is made to be thick – add more almond milk to thin to desired consistency. Pour shake into cup and top with remaining Naked Nutrition Bar. Enjoy!
