National Geographic Kids Hey, Baby! Book Review + Giveaway

November 26, 2017

I received this product for free from Moms Meet (momsmeet.com), May Media Group LLC, who received it directly from the manufacturer. As a Moms Meet blogger, I agree to use this product and post my honest opinion on my blog. The opinions posted are my own.

Two of my daughters top interests are animals and reading so naturally they were super excited when we received National Geographic Kids Hey, Baby!: A Collection of Pictures, Poems, and Stories from Nature’s Nursery. Each page in this book features large, colorful, close-up photos of animals in their habitat making kids feel like they are right there too! Along with the high quality photos are fun facts, stories, poems and more to get your little one excited to learn.

My favorite part of Hey Baby! is that all the animals featured in the book are super cute babies! From panda cubs to baby rhinos, just about every animal you can think of (and loads of unique ones too) can be found in this educational book. Your little one will be able to easily follow along as all facts and stories are written simply for young readers. Along with engaging facts about animals, kids will also learn about cultures from all over the world that helped give rise to the folktales in the book. One book feature my kids particularly enjoyed was called Tot Lot. These pages contained a photo gallery along with quick facts about a collection of land or sea animals within a particular theme. For example the “little critters from North America” Tot Lot featured vibrant photos of hummingbirds, black-footed ferrets, spicebush swallowtails, and more, introducing my little ones to these creatures while also sticking to a mountain/plains theme.

Some more helpful info about Hey Baby! is noted below:

  • The book is organized by habit with each section opening with a a poem and ending with Tot Lot.
  • In between photos are animal profiles, special stories of unlikely animal friendships, and global folktales.
  • Each purchase of a National Geographic Kids book helps to support the exploration, research, and convservation efforts of the National Geographic Society.
