Top 3 Versatile Organic Baby Carriers + Giveaway

Babywearing has countless benefits for both mom and baby and has truly been one of my favorite parts of motherhood. I loved the closeness I had with my girls when I wore them and how they would instantly calm when they were close to me. Being able to multi-task hands free, conveniently breastfeed, and travel virtually anywhere easily and efficiently without a stroller were just a few more of the reasons why I loved to wear my daughters. According to Dr. Sears, there are several important health benefits for sling babies including that they cry less, learn more, are more organized, and are smarter.

When babywearing it is important to keep a few things in mind so baby is close and safe. The T.I.C.K.S. Rule is my favorite reference tool for wearing baby the correct way in a sling or carrier. This acronym stands for tight, in view at all times, close enough to kiss, keep chin off the chest, and supported back. If you follow these simple rules, your little one will be positioned properly and comfortably. Another important consideration with babywearing is choosing the right carrier. With so many options, it can be overwhelming to figure out which one is right for you. Babywearing International does an excellent job in narrowing down the types of baby carriers and describing their various benefits.

My three choices for top baby slings that are versatile, made with high quality organic materials, and are long lasting are Baby K’Tan, Ergobaby, and Boba 4G. Listed below is further details on these carriers.

Baby K’Tan

BabyKTan

The Baby K’tan Baby Carrier is a blend of a sling, wrap and carrier, providing the positions and benefits of all three. With this durable carrier you can wear your little one from infant to toddler (preemie to 35lbs) in multiple positions. The Baby K’Tan is lightweight and compact like a sling, yet goes over both shoulders to evenly distribute baby’s weight like a structured carrier. The adjustable back support band offers the wearer extra back support and makes it easy to adjust baby or toddler’s weight distribution on both shoulders. The exclusive design offers the wearer a 100% cotton carrier that is ready-to-wear, with NO buckles, snaps, rings or hardware. Extremely simple to use, the secret behind this parent-invented, ready-to-wear baby carrier is its unique double-loop design, which gives added security for carrying baby and privacy for mom while nursing. It is easy to put on and take off, and comes in a free carry bag.

Ergobaby

Ergobaby

The Ergobaby carrier supports babies from 12 to 45 pounds and can be worn in three carry positions: front-inward, hip and back. Made from 100% organic cotton fabric,
the carrier is ergonomic for baby with a deep seat to ensure natural frog-leg seated position, aligning with the recommended carry position from the International Hip Dysplasia Institute. It offers long-wearing comfort for parents with even weight distribution between hips and shoulders and adjustable padded shoulder straps =and waist belt. It also has several convenient features including a large zippered storage pocket, adjustable hood to support baby’s head while sleeping or to protect baby from sun and offer mom privacy while nursing.

Boba 4G

Boba4G

Designed to go and grow with you, the Boba 4G Carrier is ideal for little ones ranging from 7 to 45 pounds. This innovative and adjustable Boba offers maximum comfort and convenience for both parent and newborn-to-toddler. Made with 100% organic cotton, this carrier features an integrated infant insert to support the littlest little ones and ergonomic support. It offers the perfect fit for both front and back carry and removable foot straps and sleeping hood to customize the ride. Adjustable straps help you find just the right fit and convenient pockets and purse strap holders make it super convenient.
