Scotties

As soon as the weather warms up after a long cold winter, it is only natural to want to get outside and soak up the sun! Unfortunately for some people (including myself) with the warm weather also comes seasonal allergies. Sneezing, runny nose, itchy/watery eyes, and sinus pressure begin right on cue with the sunshine for me and millions of other Americans. Luckily, I have Scotties Facial Tissues right by my side to get me through the season with comfort.

Scotties Facial Tissues can ease your allergy symptoms with their various tissue options including 2-ply, 3-ply (extra strength) or aloe (for sensitive noses). With my frequent sneezing and runny nose from outdoor pollen, my first choice is Scotties 3-Ply Facial Tissue with Aloe. These tissues are super soft and moisturize with every use so there is no worry about skin breakdown or irritation from frequent blowing. Another reason why I love Scotties is their commitment to sustainability. Three trees are planted for every one used to produce a Scotties product plus they are certified by the Sustainable Forest Initiative!81iPP1dppcL._SX522SX522_SY481_CR,0,0,522,481_PIbundle-36,TopRight,0,0_SX522_SY481_CR,0,0,522,481_SH20_

Everyday Health has some great tips for fighting allergies that are both natural and effective. My favorite tips from the list are:

*Wear sunglasses to keep pollen out of your eyes: This is a simple tip I had never thought of and is a super effective way to keep your eyes protected from outdoor allergens.

*Keep outdoor pollens outside: Wear a mask when gardening or working outside and change clothes/take a shower when you come inside so you don’t spread irritants around your home.

*Travel Wisely During Pollen and Mold Season: Keep your car windows closed when pollen counts are high. Additionally, travel in the early morning or evening to avoid when pollen is at it’s peak.

Seasonal allergies are no joke, and I swear mine get worse every year. Whenever I go outside for a while to do yard work or cut the grass, I change my clothes as soon as I come in and get the clothes I was wearing in the washing machine. Don’t want to track things in with me and through the house.

I just started getting allergies! it was quite a surprise when spring came through. Now I understand why everyone complains. I would have to wash the pollen off my car and take more frequent showers. I also had an allergy pill in my purse just in case.
