Eco Mama Organic Buckwheat Hull Nursing Pillow (Review & Giveaway)

Breastfeeding is the most natural way to feed baby while also creating a special bonding time for both mother and child. Very little is needed to make breastfeeding comfortable and successful but one item that I found to be particularly helpful with both of my girls was a support pillow. A support pillow is equally nice to have if you choose to bottle-feed.

Nursing pillows have several benefits including:

- Provide proper support while nursing baby and encourage correct feeding position
- Eliminate sore or tense muscles from holding baby with arms alone while feeding
- Provide protection to incision site after c-section delivery
- Can be used as a pillow for tummy-time or extra support when baby is learning to sit independently

When choosing a nursing pillow it is very important to select one made of organic fabric and materials. Eco Mama is an excellent choice for an organic nursing pillow as they are made in the USA and 100% organic. The outer fabric of Eco Mama’s nursing pillow is super soft and made of GOTS certified organic cotton with low impact dyes. Several beautiful patterns are available for boy, girl, or neutral. The pillow is created with organic buckwheat hulls that conform to your little one’s unique shape as well as yours. The pillow also has been carefully crafted to provide the perfect height for nursing while still being lightweight (just 3 lbs). The organic cotton cover comes pre-washed (with non-allergenic soap nuts) and is machine washable. The pillow can be spot-cleaned and placed in the dryer.

I love the Buckwheat fill idea: what a great way to prevent allergies. This is a pillow that would last through multiple kids! I like the brown leaves pattern.
