Cute Fall Critters

October 12, 2012

My oldest daughter loves the book Play With Your Food by Joost Elffers. This book displays a picture on almost every page showing various fruits and vegetables transformed into cute little critters. We decided to create our own critter after being inspired by the book. We started by collecting everything we could find from our yard that would make our own little critter unique. We then attached our okra stems, leaves, etc. by pushing them through our squash. Our finished product can be seen to the left. What a fun way to encourage creativity and make a free and fun craft for Fall!
